The Will To Live (1997)

Ben Harper : "I used my favorite acoustic guitar, a '40s Gibson LG-2 Vintage. I changed the machine heads and added a Sunrise pickup in the sound hole. I also played with a 1958 Martin 00-18 and with a National tri-cone."

Burn To Shine (1999)

Ben Harper : "I have a Gibson J-45 that I like very much. I used it only for In the Lord's arms. I also used a '50s Gibson J-160."

His current stage acoustic is a custom Maton ECW80, a maple-bodied herringbone dreadnought with a built-in AP5 pickup/preamp system that he says is "phenomenal".
