Sunrise Pickup Systems
The Sunrise Pickup has earned the respect of professional
players on stage and in the studio for over 20 years.
In that time it has proven itself as a reliable, tough,
professional unit. This pickup and matching preamp represents
the ultimate in the uncompromising search for a truly acoustic
guitar sound capable of high sound pressure levels.
The Sunrise Pickup mounts securely in the soundhole, and
can be wired with endpin and mini connectors, allowing easy
removal if desired. A long wire Sunrise Pickup with 24 inch
cable is available for temporary installations that run
the wire out of the soundhole.
Sunrise Pickups work equally well for 6 and 12 string guitars,
right or left-handed. All Sunrise Pickups have the unique
design feature that allows the pickup to couple and sense
the body resonance and top of the guitar its mounted in,
and still maintain a 116dB feedback threshold. The string
volumes can be set with 6 adjustable polepieces. The pickups
have an injection molded black ABS composite housing sealed
in epoxy, and are completely shielded from RF and hum.
Sunrise Pickups have a transferable lifetime guarantee against
defective materials or imperfect workmanship. |

Sunrise Preamp Buffer Box

The Sunrise Preamp Buffer
Box is a line matching device designed specifically to access
the coupling feature built into Sunrise Pickups. The output
of a Sunrise Pickup should be sent first to this preamp.
Sunrise Preamp Buffer Boxes provide the pickup signal with
12dB of gain, high resolution, and impedance matching capabilities.
The active 18 volt Bi-Polar powered circuit eliminates pickup
loading and line loss due to long cable runs, and also delivers
up to 4 years of battery life with two 9 volt Eveready Alkaline
batteries.
The S-B1 has two 1/4" parallel output jacks (Sunrise
and Aux) which allows the same signal to be sent to two
separate sources.
The S-B1 produce the widest frequency response possible
from a battery powered preamp, and allows the Sunrise Pickup
to operate at it's full design capabilities.

The Sunrise Tube Interface

The Sunrise Tube Interface is an all
vacuum tube, transformerless, high resolution line amplifier.
The STI reveals nuance, detail and openness with a quality
usually reservered for only the finest studio microphones.
Reproducing the natural voice of an acoustic guitar in the
studio with only a microphone has been surpassed by the
Sunrise Pickup and STI, which has become the highest standard
of the industry for both live performances and recording.
The Sunrise Tube Interface delivers +20 dB of gain, and
has two unbalanced outputs (XLR and 1/4") with headroom
in excess of +30dBv. This Tube Preamp with its unique ability
to access the Sunrise Pickup's coupling design will deliver
the sonic quality and resonance of the instrument being
amplified. Frequency response is flat from 2Hz to 50kHz
+ or - 1 dB. The two 1/4" input jacks are in parallel
with an input impedance greater than 2.0 megohm to insure
against pickup loading. A true 600 ohm output impedance
will drive extremely long cable runs without signal degradation.

The Sunrise Lo-Z Direct Box

The Sunrise Lo-Z Direct Box is a passive
low impedance device designed to couple a Sunrise Preamp
Buffer Box or Sunrise Tube Interface to a balanced Line
or Mic input. The Lo-Z Direct Box features XLR pin 2 or
pin 3 selectable switching, ground lift, and a bypass 1/4"
output. The S-LoZ has a Bauer/Richenbach transformer that
is metal enclosed. This device should be used when it is
not possible to use high impedance outputs due to noise,
hum from stage transformers, AC ground problems or other
sources of interference. This box allows the STI or S-B1
to remain unbalanced, maintaining a pristine signal path
unless a balanced line is needed. When recording or playing
live with a Sunrise Pickup, Tube Interface, or Preamp Buffer
Box the Lo-Z Direct Box is the perfect link to the console,
or direct to tape or disk. |
