From MicroWedge website - The MicroWedge series is the culmination of several years of research into developing the optimum monitor wedge. Our desire and motivation to develop the MicroWedge was inspired by the seemingly obvious oversights and lack of addressing key issues in stage monitor designs commercially available. We sought out to not only solve the commonly accepted design flaws but to introduce a monitor that stands clearly above anything manufactured to date.

Here is a list of our objectives and how we achieved them successfully in the design:
Elegant, Versatile and Powerful.

1) Compact. The MicroWedge occupies a minimal amount of stage space. This was achieved by utilizing a co-axially mounted 2" /12" or 2"/15" speaker and its unique enclosure design.
2) High Volume. High power handling, high efficiency speaker components and minimal interference all contribute to the impressive SPL output of the MicroWedge.
3) High Fidelity. The smooth clear response of the MicroWedge is immediately evident.
4) Plug and Play. The MicroWedge's sound excellent and are extremely sonically stable with no external EQ in both the processor bi-amped mode and the passive mode. Just plug them in and go.
5) Attractive. The patented no parallel walls and radial front of the MicroWedge combined with the black on black color scheme is not only visually attractive but a functioning part of the design.
6) Arrayable. The MicroWedge design solves the issue of trying to accurately place multiple monitors next to each other by incorporating trapezoidal side walls.
7) Innovative Input Connection. The MicroWedge design solves the 3 main issues of input connector placement.
* Connectors out of view and reach of the audience and camera angles.
* MicroWedges can be placed directly side by side without the input/output connectors interfering.
* Cabling is directed neatly to the side of the front of the wedge, safely clear of the performers feet.
8) Low Weight. At 60 pounds the MicroWedges can be easily moved and placed by the integrated, large diameter ergonomic front handle.
9) Usable Coverage Angle. From right up on the wedge to over 12' away, the MicroWedge provides smooth clear coverage without the use of tilting blocks or having to flip over the wedge.
10) Versatile. Whether you run the MicroWedge in active bi-amp mode with a digital processor or passive full range off 1/2 of an amp, the sonic output of the MicroWedge is clean, clear and consistent.
11) Low Profile. With its 13" maximum height, the MicroWedge minimizes blocking sight lines on tall stages.
