Mike Cacia - manager
- juin 2004 : "I first met Ben flying down to
Jamaica from New Jersey to tape Bob Marley Tribute for TNT...
I had been a fan... at rehearsal for show i introduced him
to Toots and the vibe was great... at that time we hoped
to work together in the future... when it was time to record
TRUE LOVE we thought of Ben and contacted him to join us...
the rest is history... we flew to LA from NY to record and
it was great. Toots loves Ben and really appreciates his
participation on the record and the Willie Nelson Special
and Saturday Night Live...we hope to do even more with Ben
and have talked to him about recording in Jamaica as well
as joining us on our big show there DEC 11 for Toot's Birthday..."

: "We knew Ben to be a fan (often seen performing wearing
a Toots and the Maytals T-shirt.) but trying to arrange
a time to between two busy touring artists was tough. Toots,
Paul and Jackie flew to law to join Ben and members of his
band for a rendition of Love Gonna Walk Out on Me at Master
Control studio. I overdubbed Toots’s final vocals
in New York." |
